Neuropunks.org was started as a platform to provide various artists and technology enthusiasts in New York City area with free webhosting. Our goal is to give ability to "broadcast their signal", free of charge, to those who believe they have something to contribute to the overall Internet as well as human community.

We strongly believe in freedom of access, speech, and Internet. We do not believe it is fair when only large corporations and for-profit businesses are able to effectively utilize the Internet to ensure exposure. We think if you have a message, it deserves to be heard.

Neuropunks is not a publicly available service however. To have an account, you must know someone who already has one. You will have to meet with one of our representatives in person to complete your sign up process.

We will provide you with 500Mb of disk space, unlimited number of email addresses, webmail, mailing list software, traffic graphs for analysis and FTP/Unix shell accounts.

Our current infrastructure is fully redundant, consisting of two primary servers in separate locations, which share all data between each other, as well as a cluster of geographically distributed DNS and Email backups. We strongly believe in [Open Source Software] and therefore utilize only community developed, tested and approved software components in our infrastructure.

We can also provide you with streaming audio server access, but since that is a very much traffic-intensive activity, we will be required to [charge] you.

If you are a small business in need of technolgical assistance, such as secondary DNS or SMTP servers, uptime and services monitoring, website mirroring, etc, we will provide you with such also free of charge. But just as to have an account, you will have to meet with a representative and be evaluated for eligibility.
